Cold Case taking it to the NHL

The team reopens the 1980 case of a hockey player who was killed at his team's ice rink on the next episode of Cold Case.

    TV Guide
The director of this Cold Case episode says that this episode was made specifically to show and tell the NHL to crack down on cheap shots and start suspending players or this will or could happen. Cold Case took this right to the league offices in New York and met with Colin Campbell and showed him this episode Campbell says that it brought him to tears. So it definately hit home with the NHL now the question is will the NHL start cracking down on these cheap shots and suspending players long term that is the question?

I just walked into the other room and it was on. It was a player scoring on a penalty shot. It was by far the WORST impression of a hockey player and a goaltender I've ever seen. They need to use 'doubles' who actually know how to play the game.
