At the 4:41 MARK SECOND QUARTER, when the refs were huddling over a facemask penalty, the camera caught Catavolos talking to Fewell on the sidelines. They were standing side by side with their shoulders facing the field. Fewell reached over rapidly and moved Catavolos's headset mic closer to his mouth.

Thoughts?

I saw it and thought it was funny. Not sure what thoughts you would be looking for.

Perhaps you thought it showed attention to detail. Or a willingness to act.

Or perhaps he was trying to cover his mouth because he felt their conversation was being exposed.

I really don't understand this thread.Do you think he did it simply becasue he couldn't hear him?

At the 12:50 mark, Fewell scratched his ear. Do you think he couldn't hear or he just had an itch?

Thoughts?

Yeah, it was funny.

Funnier still was when the first half was coming to a close after Cassel threw it away and the boos started.....a look came across his face and he clearly said "shut the **** up".

there were several calls early in the game where the ref's announcements were inaudible. All Fewell did was help him out with the mic.

Who cares?

It must have been too delicate and caring. A "good" coach would have cussed at him and slapped the headset onto the ground. Or something.

He might've been hitting on his wife, so he put the mic back to his mouth so he didn't have to punch him out.

Happens all the time.
