So he'll never play again? This was done I believe due to Sorgi being put on IR. Currently, Curtis Painter is the backup which is scary. ?But I believe JP could be the backup in a few weeks as he's better than Painter. But Sorgi will be the backup next year and JP will be 3rd string if its multi year deal.

BILLS VS JP WEEK 17!!!!

I really hope the colts lose one of their next two games now so jp will play. Or better yet, they give jp the chance to complete the perfect season!

Great, that'll mean another meaningless Bills win :sigh:

Great, another cast-off Bills QB will get a Superbowl ring (see Johnson, Rob).

Damn that Bill Polian...gonna come back and beat us with his backups, and our former starter!!

Oh wait, I thought JP sucked SOOOO bad he would never come back in the NFL?

JP always threw the ball too short for the WRs so it wont be near Byrd

Wouldnt it be fantastic if Losman came back to Buffalo with a different team and kicked our asses? It would be the icing on the cake that is a decade of disappointment.

Could you picture Ralphs face if that happened?!

i'm indifferent on the what if solution. it would be satisfying to see him beat us to just prove to the old man what a crap product they've put together over 10 years.

And i'd be more than happy to watch losman get creamed because he was truly an awful quarterback that has no business being in the NFL.

Either way, it doesn't matter.

kind of typical that JP would get a real chance at a SB ring before the Bills sniff the playoffs again..

Good for JP. He would still be the best qb on this team if we signed him today. When you have poor coaching you get ruined young qb's.

Not great, but not much better than what we currently have...there is no difference...7-9 7-9 7-9 and who knows what this season.

Honestly with a week under the Colts coaching and system, JP will probably do that.

I'm not rooting for a Bills loss, I never do. But I wont feel bad if they did kick our butts with backups (JP included) -- will just go to show how inept our offensive coaching is. Would be the icing on the cake, as you say.

WHEN HE'S 90 AND CHECKS INTO AN OLD FOLKS HOME, ARE WE GONNA HAVE THREADS

"JP LOSMAN ON VERGE OF COMMITTING TO OLD FOLKS HOME...MORE ON THIS AS IT DEVELOPS"

It's news, NFL news, about a former Buffalo Bill.

If you don't like it, don't click on the link and read it.

Settle down.

I'm happy for the guy. He, by all accounts, was a decent guy in the locker room and off the field. Nice to see he gets a chance to participate on a real football team.

Doesn't mean I think he was a great QB. He wasn't, and the Bills let him go. Why not go somewhere else (like a real team) and get paid some money?

Well if this is the kind of decision making we can expect out of the Colts, its safe to say once Manning is gone they will suck for a long time.

typical jp to not learn the lesson the first time. don't go to a crappily run organization and expect to make it better single-handedly. it's better to go to a stable team and learn how to win.

No crap man. That is not a good day for the cinderella kid at all.

However, though I know most know it it goes.

Just so I only have to address this once.
1- Obviously something changed today. He was close to signing with the Colts, in fact early in the day the Colts were mulling over roster shuffle options. Obviously, I don't know happened.
2- I did say he was on the "verge" of signing with the Colts, didnt say it was a done deal for sure.
3- Having said that, I turned out to be wrong.. Won't be the first and it won't be the last. What I am more interested in finding out is how today played out with him, cause I guarentee you there is more to it.
4- Lastly.. I havent bothered to read much of the bashing, but I will say this. Im not the only loser of the day.. So is Jason LaCanfora from the NFL Network.

Hey.. Tried to catch a scoop was told it was going to happen. Sorry guys. I'm sure I'll be wrong again

No TD made him a first round pick, Vegas earned him a pointless title in a pointless league. My 11 year old cousin is a black belt and I can still whoop him, doesn't mean I'm ready for the UFC.

I was really pulling for him because of what he was trying to do in Buffalo. He was getting into the community and making the place better.

He is worthy of a back-up position in the NFL. He will likely never start for any length of time unless the guy in front of him goes on IR.

I'm not sure why folks get so bent out of shape over this. He was not the QB to lead the team. Edwards was given his chance and failed as well. Neither of them are the answer.
