9th.

With this mock draft, who would you select with the pick? NO TRADING DOWN.

1. St. Louis: QB Jimmy Clausen ND
2. Detroit: DT Ndamukong Suh NEB
3. TB: DT Gerald McCoy OKLA
4. CLE: S Eric Berry TENN
5. KC: OT Russell Okung OK ST
6. WAS: QB Sam Bradford OKLA
7. SEA: QB Ryan Mallett ARK
8. DEN: WR Dez Bryant OK ST (I chose this pick so he would not be available at ours to make it a tougher call.)
9. BUF: ?

In this scenario, I would have to say: DE Derrick Morgan GT (Best player available) or OT Bruce Campbell Maryland (Need pick).

Post yours and explanation why in this scenario.

Campbell

the OL is a good place to start in the draft.

For the record every top 7 or 9 or whatever you post is absolutely assinine.

I know, I know...its for fun. Who would I draft...

I suppose I'd go Rolando McClain. We need a LB. He's top 10 talent, on a winning team.

My 2nd option would be OT Williams, 3rd would be Taylor Mays. Just wouldn't be able to pass him up if that was the top 10 and we were 9th.

I pray we're higher than 9th.

Hopefully Seattle and Chicago can both win another game or two because this scenario blows.

I guess I'd have to go Campbell too, or that LB everyone loves. I forget his name.

Doesn't Cody have a reputation as being lazy or having bad work ethic? If so, that screams bust to me.

His rep is similar to Warren Sapp coming out of Miami I believe. Kind of an ass hole, but comes to play on game day....and boy does he ever.

Other than Suh I believe he will be the best defensive player to come out of this draft. Love his intensity too by the way, it would be a welcomed attitude adjustment for this lifeless team

McClain or Campbell.

I'd like to see them take McClain. Size and speed and smarts.

Cody is interesting. There are question marks about motivation and playing weight. His biggest knock is that he was huge, >400 pounds, but has worked to get his playing weight down to ~375 (I think). He looks like a run stopping beast but is likely a best fit in a 3-4 system.

Nobody named Trent. And no OT named Williams in the first round. I don't know anything about this guy, but he already gives me heartburn.

Bruce Campbell LT on every day of the week which ends in a Y

Only 4 MLBs in the last 10years have gone in the 1st round. We can find MLB talented later on Day2

Bruce Campbell or Rolando McClain.

I think McClain could come in and from day one be the best player on the Bills defense. Campbell will have some growing pains, but he potentially fills a HUGE need.

Brandon Spikes is projected to be a 2nd rounder, Sean Lee in the 3rd.

Is the fall off between McClain and Lee, bigger or smaller than that between Campbell and a 3rd LT?

I say smaller

McClain... little doubt he will be an impact player, and he would make our LB corp solid again, which is badly needed. Campbell seems to be too big of a question mark to go this high. And the last thing we need is a question mark.

McClain; he is the best player available for what we need.

McClain; he is the best player available for what we need.

except for Left Tackle.

McClain will wear down like everyone else if our offense cannot give the defence time to rest - and allowing our QB to get hammered every play is not a recipe to have any sort of drive allowing our defence to rest.

We have a need for a MLB. We have an immeasurably desperate need for a starting calibre LT

If McClain is rated that much higher than a guy like Campbell we got to take McClain, if not Bruce is the guy. I'd be thrilled for the Bills to come away with Campbell 1 and Spikes in the 2nd. Can you tell I'm not thrilled about the qb's, here's hoping Brohm shows us something.

Ya and you also got Micah Johnson in the 3rd or 4th, and while not a tackling machine, he's a 265 pound sledge hammer.

Tough to say. McClain, by all reports, is a excellent leader. That is something the Bills defense is missing - that and a true stud in the defensive front 7.

I am sure we will all change our minds between now and the draft though, but it is fun to discuss in theory now nonetheless.

We've just watch our QB getting slammed for the last 15 games.

How can LT not be an absolutely critical need?
