What? They looked a lot better that 2nd period...Caps scored on their only chance of the period. Sabres could win this game if they play the same way in the 3rd.

Not a chance. No one is going to the net and they're doing a ****ty job of clearing the zone. They don't have the firepower to keep up with the caps.

The game the sabres are losing 5-2. Do you guys get it yet? The caps are one od the teams the sabres will have to beat to go anywhere, and they can't hang with their ****ing third string goalie. Another wasted season.

Just out of curiosity, what is a "wasted season" to you? Not winning the cup? Not making the conference finals? Not making the playoffs?

no worries. I'm done. From the Bills and the Sabres, I've wasted my money on far too many losses and far too many games that weren't even competitive. I'm tapping out.

A season where we have zero shot at winning the cup, which is what we're facing now. A team that can't score (even on a third string goalie) can't win.

Well, I disagree. We do not have zero shot. Every team has a percentage chance that they will win the cup this year. Some might actually be zero. Is the Sabre's percentage the highest in the league? Certainly not. But it's higher than the average of all of the teams in the league.

I've said before that there are no guarantees in sports, and every team has a mathematical chance until they are officially eliminated. So technically you are correct.

But realistically, this team doesn't have a chance. We literally have no scoring threat and a power play that can only be described as "harmless." Look at the potential playoff teams in the East. There aren't many that the Sabres can hang with over a 7 game series.

I'm not going to argue Cup chances because I like to believe anything can happen in the playoffs with a great goalie on his game.

However, I'm about one game away from jumping on the Op bandwagon about scoring. It's awful. They should've lit that guy up last night. Instead, Miller has an off night and they get crushed. As it stands right now, Miller basically has to be perfect every night or they are screwed.
