    Its official......no Shanny for Bills

Don't expect talk of Super Bowl-winning coach Mike Shanahan coming to Buffalo to be revived in the coming weeks.
Shanahan let the Bills know more than a week ago that he was taking himself out of consideration for their head coaching position, a league source told The News.

thats ok, was not really a fan of him anyways. His team in Denver has sucked, especially the defense. Denver fired him for a reason with years left on his contract.

Thats one that can be scratched off.

Theres several other big name guys still out there. Including Cowher.

Shanahan should take the Washington job, Dallas has already said they are going after a college guy if Wade gets canned.

Those are the only two big teams out there... Cowher becomes very much in play.

No surprise there, but it's nice to officially scratch him off of the list.

              Its called hope-for-something-better.

I'm giving them a chance to redeem themselves and put up or shut up with the big name HC talk. I am giving them a chance to do it right for once. I'm willing to believe its possible until proven otherwise.

Anything else is more of the same IMO.

I wonder what the deciding factor was. I mean, seems they threw the kitch sink at him, and if he wasn't interested, why the **** did he come.

Trust me. I hope you are right. I am from PA and have been surrounded by Steeler fans my entire life. There would be nothing better than getting Cowher Power in Orchard Park to turn this organization around, I just honestly think it has 1% chance of happening.

He was my first choice from the start.

Well, I'm giving the Bills the benefit of the doubt until they prove me wrong. Just that easy.

If they don't do what they said they would do, I will be at a lower point in my support of this team than even before.

x-era, i think you are going to be disappointed. I think shanahan had more of shot than cowher. cowher has one job in mind.

Billick would disappoint me more so than getting a great coordinator.
