This defense next year will be just as bad as this offense is this year if Schobel retires. Schobel is the best defensive player we have had this past decade. Oh and by the way his 3 sacks today against a good Falcons offense did not come in garbage time like some posters say. He forced 2 fumbles but he isnt a game changing DE like some say. If we had anyone else on D that could recover them fumbles or make a play maybe we could have had a chance today. So all you nay sayers there you go Schobel is proven you wrong time after time.

To be fair to the thread starter, Aaron was the only person who looked like he gave a damn or even showed up today.

Problem is he's another guy who only shows up a few times a year and has zero consistency.

Schobel is a good football player, one of the bright spots on an abysmal team. Most players would have cracked already, look at Randy Moss in Oakland. Schobel has heart and character, the way he plays just proves it.

We didn't play like one of the best coverage units in the league today and Schobel did his part getting pressure. You know what I mean, getting a sack just to see the QB bounce back and throw a completion for a 1st down is disheartening. Don't act like I don't have a point because you see it and I see it, why pretend?

Schobel has easily been one of the Bills best defenders this decade. People ***** because he is not Bruce Smith. If he is not back next year there will be another huge hole to plug since there is NO ONE ELSE ON THIS TEAM THAT CAN RUSH THE PASSER!!!!!

We need an impact DE.
We need a true, stud MLB.
We could use another OLB.
We need an impact safety.
We need CB depth that can step in when necessary.

All this, regardless of whether or not Schobel decides to retire.

Yeah it was a meaningless game but at least Schobel came to play and your going to tell me coverage was the main reason. That is complete bull****. Reggie Corner and Drayton Florence sure were lockdown corners today. Is that why Matt Ryan threw for 250 yrds and 3 tds? Yeah that is some really great coverage. Give the guy his due he has been the best player on D for this team. Schobel has double didgit sacks again this season oh but wait he gets them in garbage time right?

Schobel is a solid starter and a decent DE. He needs another DE on the other side though. There's alot positions in need on both sides.
