View Full Version : Thoughts on Montador?

Rather curious about people's thoughts now on the acquisition of Montador in the off season. I saw quite a few comments where some didn't care for it much at all. I was happy to see a little bit of toughness brought in and quite frankly I think he's been rather solid on the blueline and has his moments of jumping into the play to get things moving. Thoughts?

He's been solid and a great addition. Amazing how much better this team is with the addition of Montador and Myers to the blueline

Great bang for the buck. Damn decent defenseman, tough, and a surprisingly decent puck handler. He's gritty and brings leadership to the D core that Rivet, Lydman, and Tallinder have failed to do.

I hated this guy. He showed some great signs at the end of the year, but in the playoffs he was atrocious....

I was practically begging for him in the offseason before they signed him and was very happy when they did. So far, he has been well worth it and one of my favorite guys on D.

I hated this guy. He showed some great signs at the end of the year, but in the playoffs he was atrocious....
Well he seems to have turned over a new leaf. He is playing fantastic this season.

Decent defenseman with needed grit. I like the pickup. I hope Myers can pick up some of Montador and Rivet's grit and toughness.

I liked the pickup of Grier even more. Loved his play when he was here and didn't want to see him go.

Let's not forget he was traded at the deadline- it's tough for a guy to be a 7th d-man getting very inconsistent ice time.


Then again, a lot of Bruin D-men sucked during the Carolina series
