What does the Free agency market look like for our key position of need?

Are any of these positions strong in the free agency market?

I would advocate addressing as many of our needs through free agency so we can focus on getting the best player available in our early round picks.

Quarterbacks are very hard to find. We should have been aggressive about getting a QB for the last six years of FA and have had it in the hands of incompetence instead. Without changes in our FO we'll see more of the same. And the FA QB market isn't that good but there are some guys available like Orton and Vick. Maybe we should go after Jeff George.

I'd be very happy with Orton as a stop gap until we find our franchise guy. He has performed well in Chicago and Denver.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

It is hard to tell until we know if the CBA will be renewed or extended or if there will be the temporary rules in place.

My money says no it will not be extended

So the temp rules will be in place

6 years to be a UFA, all teams get 2 tags to use

and 2011 will suck because this is going to be a very ugly fight IMO

Then why start this thread?? This team has more holes than 50 year old socks. Obviously OL is the first target.
