And the backup goaltender situation. Since being sent down for a 2 game conditioning stint, he has been everything the Sabres need in a backup and then some.

I feel better about it, but still have concerns.
I am happier that the team in front of him is playing better when he is in though.

Originally posted by NighthawkI'm thinking this has more to do with it then anything. However, I'm just happy to see that it isn't an immediate loss anymore when Lalime starts.
He is playing much better. Against Chicago he had 40 saves. The other night against Pittsburgh where he came off the bench, he looked confident and ready to go. I never really saw that from him last year.

He was outstanding against Chicago and both games against Pittsburgh.
Allowing 2 goals in 8 periods against those teams is more than the team in front of him.Originally posted by mysticsotoLecter is right in everything he said.

Originally posted by Dr. LecterI can't agree with that. It is really a mix of both.

Wow, it's amazing how easily you guys just forget how bad this guy is/was after a couple of good starts. I'm not saying that I'm not happy he isn't swiss cheese anymore, but it just blows my mind the mentality that he is all of sudden not a problem.

I find it more amazing that you can't admit that he has a streak of 4 very good to outstanding games.Originally posted by mysticsotoLecter is right in everything he said.

Originally posted by Dr. LecterI think all most have said is that he has played well lately. (although a few are going farther than that)

Originally posted by NighthawkNow you're reaching...as usual. I've already said that I'm happy that him being in the nets isn't an automatic loss. I'm not going to start acting like he is all better now and is the answer as the backup. I still don't think this guy could handle the workload if Miller was to go down and he proved that last year....that is my biggest concern, what happens if Miller is out for an extended period of time? I don't know, this guy still scares me.
better yet what happens to indy if peyton manning goes down for an extended period of time?Originally posted by LOSman WINSVanek is Austrian not EuropeanOriginally posted by Prov401Pacquiao isn't asian. He's from the philippinesOriginally posted by better daysI will not be surprised if Tebow has more success than Peyton in the NFL.
