Thurman Thomas, an ex-Bill and WGR guy was pretty excited in his tweet. So what does Sal hear?

Buddy Nix or Tom Modrak will be named GM.

Call it a good hunch.

I dont know if Id prefer Nix or Modrak...Modrak's role with this team through the years has been so secretive...nobody knows if what impact he's had if any in drafting and such.

have none.

Im hearing the same as all of you, that the Bills are going to name a GM and if its Modrak I HONESTLY dont know what the means in regards to Cowher.

Some say it gets Cowher here, some say it keeps him away

If it is Modrak, he is Donahoe #2 in my opinion but at least we'd get some players. I believe he really wanted Ngata and Revis and Jauron had final say.

I hope he picks better coaches than Donahoe though!

God, I hope it's not either of these guys.

Hasn't Ralph figured out that our current staff is incompetent? Why do they keep getting promoted?

Based on what RS said about PFT having it. They updated their post saying they are now hearing Buddy Nix will be named the new GM.

Brandon resumes non-football related business operations. Not sure what that would mean for Modrak and a HC.

Nix was at the point of his retirement considered a top 5 talent evaluator in the NFL. He was a main cog in our super run team as far as picking players and developing them.

I'm going to get the gasoline and matches in preparation for 2:30. A promotion from within is definitely a call to light myself on fire.

I disagree, if it was Brandon or Guy then yes, but Modrak has had little say by all accounts on anything we've done and he is a very good draft guy and Nix is on the same level as guys like Piolo, Dimitroff, and AJ Smith as far as talent evaluators.

This is not a bad move at all, imo.

Nix was here 93-00, after the SB seasons. He did draft a few Pro Bowlers for the Chargers, though, from 04-07.

Nix has a connection to Cowher dating back to their Cleveland days

Ah yes good point on the years, but he was connected and learned from Butler and Smith who we all know to be extremely good talent people and drafters.

I'll take your work for it. I don't know much about the man, it just doesn't fill me up with warm and fuzzy thoughts after the past decade of garbage football. I have a glass half empty mentality with the Bills right now.
