If Marty does come back, it's all but certain that he signs here, and I would love it!"Expect rejection, but expect more to overcome it."

"Coach Levy is one of the most inspirational people that I have ever known."
***Thurman Thomas.***
"You're not going to find a more classier, down-to-Earth person away from the field than Marv Levy. He's a guy who's pretty much made me what I am today as far as a professional player and a person."

Re: Marty wants to coach?
Mort is actually worse than Clayton - if that is possible - when it comes to Bills related stuff these days.
In many respects, the likes of those two, are much more 'opinions,' rather than reporters, certainly when it comes to the Bills.
Imho, the local newspapers, Schefter, Sal, Pat and Tim Graham, have a great deal more credibility than them. Another guy to listen to is Vic Carucci, as he still has good 'contacts' within the Bills FO.
While by no means gospel, it's also quite interesting when Chris Brown puts these sorts of things up, as when he does, it quite often means that there is some substance to them. While Brown is certainly constrained to a largish degree, by being a Bills employee, he does try to use some of those types of posts to give a hint as to what may be going on. The clever side to that, is that as it is referencing articles from outside the organisation, it can't be deemed 'official' in any way.

Re: Marty wants to coach?
You get Martyy you get his under qualified son and he will take over the team in a year or two and the team will be where it is today in another 4-5 years. Anyone who thinks Marty will be here more than 2-3 years is fooling themselves. Avoid Marty. Short term solutions will not work.

Re: Marty wants to coach?
I think that Mrs. Schottenheimer probably will have a lot of input in this decision. I can only imagine the conversation with my wife:
Me: Hun, I've been offered $10 million per year to come back and coach the Bills. I might even be able to get a piece of the team.
Mrs. MiS: WTF are you still standing here for?
Me: Ok I'll call Mr. Wilson.
