    Anderson rejoins Lions: 'Happy to be living'

    Scotty Anderson didn't say a lot or do a lot but -- under the circumstances -- he felt pretty good about getting back to the practice field Monday with the rest of the Lions.

    "I'm happy to be living," he said.

    And you can rest assured Anderson's words came with absolute sincerity.

    Anderson, starting his third season as a Lions wide receiver, missed all of last week's minicamp after he and his brother Stevie suffered stab wounds in an early-morning incident May 26 outside a nightclub in Houston.

    Lions WR Anderson returns to workouts after stabbing

    Scotty Anderson has rejoined the Detroit Lions for the final two weeks of offseason workouts after he and his brother were stabbed outside a Houston nightclub.

    Anderson, a 23-year-old who is starting his third season as a Lions wide receiver, missed all of last week's minicamp with relatively minor wounds from the May 26 stabbings but still has a bandaged left shoulder.

    As he left the field Monday, Anderson said his recovery is going well.
