Yesterday, didn't really realize how many threads I had out there, and some of them were nothing more than spec.. Today, Im going to keep all my loitering to a single thread (unless something major goes down). If I find out anything or find stuff of interest elsewhere I'll try to keep most of it to one thread.

I would definitely not expect a Bills coach to be named today, about as big as it'll probably get is a possible interview.

unfortunately most people don't know how to deal with rumors and then it manifests itself into a pain in the ass situation where everyone is repeating the same rumor on 3 different forums but claiming it to be new news.

I don't mind insider info... and speculation but it definitely takes on a life of its own

I'd say this guy is nuts, but he did write the Bills would fire their entire staff before ANYBODY else did, at 6:35am monday morning.

They reportedly interviewed Fewell yesterday.
The Rooney Rule is fulfilled.
They can now hire anyone on the spot.
That's why they did him first.

Brown disputed it in the Bills message board, but hasn't yet written a blog entry about it on the front page?? Interesting.

Id think dispelling that would be a top priority for him, other than writing about Clausen's surgery or Jauron's NYG job aspirations

There's also a possibity that he's in Buffalo but just not at OBD. That said I'm surprised we haven't contacted Billick, unless Marty is serious about coming back.

My whole issue is that there must be someone coming to interview today right?

If it was a coordinator, I'm sure someone would have reported it because the other team would need to grant permission.

The only rumblings we are hearing today are about Cowher.

9:52 AM- As I wrote this morning
1- Billick has definitely NOT be contacted by the Bills as of yet.
2- One or both Schotty's could end up in Buffalo (its my pick of the day right now, lol)
3- Harbaugh is the political choice of the Buffalo News
4- Fewell expected to end up in Chicago, and take Catavolos with him.
5- Definitely don't expect Bobby April back even if new coach offers

I was right on #5 for sure. I heard April was really angry about yesterday and over not being named interim head coach. per Timmy Graham, he's opted out of his contract formally now.

If we were doing an all-current staff interview process, I think I would actually have preferred April over Fewell. At least there'd be some unknown to mull over and hope about.

Havent decided yet, Id like to, but I wanted to go only if I could get a press pass which appeared to have fallen through. I wanted the extra access, sadly it does not appear as though it will happen.

i'll be there. i was hoping for Tebow to come and get some time under center but apparently he has declined. the senior bowl was a nightmare for graham harrell last year LOL i fumbled alot and had the worst footwork in his drop i have ever seen, which lead to some really bad balls. although at that time one player who stood out to me who made some nice plays was ellis lankster (i wrote about him after that game actually because he initially wasnt invited) and i remembered saying he would be a solid addition for buffalo. it is a great game for anyone who is close to it or can get there reasonably.

Interesting especially seeing all the reports earlier that Sowlik would be his guy. If that means Greg Blatche is released, this should be the guy the bills go after for d coordinator. Runs a big aggressive 4-3 d.

reality, if we REALLY want him, the Bills just have to make an offer he cant refuse. if the rumored 7million per year was what he was asking for then i would think you would offer him 8million with control of the 53 man roster and maybe a small piece of ownership, or something like that. carolina isnt opening up. fox will not pass up 6 million next year. the bills are not going to give 6 million to john fox (he hasnt even won a superbowl). no way in hell holmgren took that job to bring in a coach like cowher who doesnt even like or run a true west coast system (and it doesnt get more bill walsh west coast than holmgren) so the bottom line is its buffalo or CBS. buffalo ponies up and makes a offer that he cant refuse or they can try to get "the deal" and see how little they can get him for while brandon spits BS at him and he either takes whatever offer we give or stays working at CBS. i hope they just say Bill here (a big no way you can refuse offer) and say get back to us in a week and think about it, and we have our coach anyday now, but knowing the Bills they will think they have an edge because there are no other teams and lowball him or try to get a "deal" and play themselves right out of it and our coach will be brian shottenhiemer LOL!
