Wanna force me to make a prediction? I say Schottenheimer (though I don't have to say a first name, the guy with the gun to my head is stupid)

In indirect news John Fox said on his radio show last night that he sees himself returning to the Panthers next season.

48 hours ago I'd consider that huge news. But after hearing along with the rest of you about Cowher's perceived lack of interest in coaching this year, I dont think Carolina matters to us anymore. Of course, that could change if Cowher gets an itch he needs to scratch over the next week to ten days.

Pat thats what Im thinking now maybe Marty takes the job and brings his son in and hands the head coaching over to him in the next 2 years??

But his son's name is all over the place now with the Bills...

Why would Marty's son make the mostly lateral move from Jets OC to Bills Asst. HC/OC, even with the carrot of taking over for Dad in a few years? Nix is 70 and could retire in a few years (or get fired if things go badly) and he then does not have the GM in his pocket to assure his succession.

Is everyone's idea of a "new era" in Buffalo hiring what would be the oldest HC in the NFL (by 3 years) coupled with a 70 year old GM? Is that the foundation for long-term stability and success?

Let's see if there is any truth to this Cowher report from this tiny publication in East Aurora.

Think we've all learned to not dismiss something just cause it aint Schefter's name on it.

Actually I am quite the opposite.

I'm more of a " we've all learned to dismiss something just cause it has Schefter's name on it" person

There are contradicting reports everywhere, every day. Schefter probably has the best batting average of anybody.

Chris Brown surely also believes that the Bills coaches are "free to seek other work, and that their status will be determined by the new head coach, if they haven't already found other work. While seeking other work. Or finding other work." And aren't fired.

Seeing as Chris Brown works for the Bills, I don't trust a word out of that guy's mouth.

yeah. it's like "cowher isn't here, sitting right next to me waiting to see Buddy and Ralph. I'm just on my laptop finishing up my article entitled, "Paying theBills, season ticket prices go up to pay for Bill Cowher, next Bills head coach", and Russ made it clear to me that Cowher isn't here. By the way the guy drooling on me from his unusually large chin isn't Cowher.

Exactly. He is also getting ready to write a piece on Maybin ending his holdout.
