He is making $7 million from the Redskins and turned down $10 million from the Bills? Wow, people really hate this franchise.

I think Cowher is waiting for Shanahan to sign to set the market price for him in Buffalo. When it's official we could see Bills/Cowher talks heat up I hope.

Shefter said the Bills didn't offer anything close to 10 mil for Shanny.

You have to remember Shanahan likes to build through free agency and that does not fit what the Bills do. However, Cowher uses the draft to build his team as do the Bills. Imo you can't compare the two and have the same outcome. It could be kool-aid talk, but when have the Steelers ever signed a big free agent in Cowher's career with them?

Shanahan's free agent pickups in Denver were lousy. And Bruce Allen helped run the Bucs into the ground. Looks like the more things change in Washington, the more they stay the same.

This something I dont get.

If an owner is willing to pay $10 million for a great OT or DT, why not pay the same for a great head coach?

I cant think of a more important person in the organization

I've heard the figures of $10M, $12M, $12M + a hunk of the franchise... But I've never heard that said by, nor confirmed by, anybody associated with the Bills.

If the figures above are real... Perhaps that's the entire coaching budget... Not just head coach.

I hope Ralph at leasts offers Cowher 5 years $40M.

Didn't the first domino fall when the Bills fired their whole coaching staff?

so we offer 10 mil plus a part of the franchise and snyder offers 7 mil and the headache of working for snyder (in other words a guaranteed firing within 3 years).

nice.

I would love to know how bad Brandon's pitch was.
