    Bills advertising text alerts

It seems every time the Bills promote their text alerts on Twitter and the Bills message board, an announcement is coming. They did it the day they hired Nix I believe and on numerous occasions in the past.

    Maybe this time too?

I actually thought the same thing. I too am grasping for straws though.

It's a prime marketing opportunity. The Bills know fans are starving for news, and they exploit that

i always assumed that the vtexts were verizon only and free to verizon customers. however, it would be cost something to outside providers.

i never cared enough to find out. does anyone know that off the top of their heads?

it just says standard text messaging rates apply. so I think they are free to everyone as far as the team is concerned. but you may have a per message fee from your provider just like you would if you were receiving a message from a friend on another network.

Isn't it ironic that they have a sticky on the BB message board about how to get text alerts? It wasn't there earlier.
