I refuse to tweet...

I do find it useful for trade alerts on stocks where a moments notice can make the difference in making money and losing your ass, but even then it isn't that useful for me.

and I don't care what any football player has ot say, and laugh at how much trouble tweeting has gotten some people into

As far as I can tell, RT = Re-Tweet, you use it when you are re posting a tweet someone else tweeted first.

@ means a few things, you use it when you are messaging someone, tagging them in a tweet or giving them credit for the initial tweet.

so RT @thurmanthomas

means you are retweeting what Thurman Thomas said.

@Adam Schefter you suck!

means you are tweeting to Adam Schefter to tell him he sucks.

You can sign up and receive ONE "tweet" and understand. When you're on the website, the "tweeter" is pictured. When you get an update on your phone, it omits the "@" and just states the person's name. I guarantee there are elementary school kids tweeting each other.

And honestly it's just like signing up for VTEXT Bills alerts IMO - I've got unlimited texting so I just get alerts from La Canfora, Schefter, Mort, Glazer, Thurman, Darryl, etc forwarded to my phone so I can be updated while I'm at work (where I have no internet access or desire to buy a data plan and a smart phone). Perfect for any Bills homer.
