Just went in for Colt McCoy in the BCS championship. Hope he's better than his dad.

shuffle pass was brutal...i feel bad for the kid....he really looks young and is put in an awful position.

That was classic Gilbert trying to tackle that 300lb DT. Hahahahahaha..

This is what happens when you're longtime QB starter is out of the game. Gilbert=Curtis Painter.

The Gilbert kid didn't look too bad, rallying the team for a short time. McCoy was going to have a tough enough time in this game, let alone an 18 year old kid just off the bench. Welcome to college football. What a way to debut.
I read where he was the national HS player of the year just a year ago, so Texas looks to have a good replacement for McCoy.
Congrats to Alabama.

I thought he did a pretty good job. Can't imagine the pressure he felt against the top defense in the country. That last fumble was painful tho.

That shuffle pass was the dumbest call of the season.
Talk about setting up your Freshman QB for failure.

I would of liked to watch McCoy against a good defense to see what he could of done.

Gutsy performance in the 2nd half. They had a long way to go on that critical possession when they were down 24-21, but if he hadn't gotten totally blindsided on that blitz for the fumble, he had a feeling of momentum going--seemed like he was poised to move the team again.
Tough start, but once he decided at halftime that it was time to step up he did. I don't think they could have asked more from him.

Very raw set of skills, but he has potential those killing him or annoiting him based on last night are jumping the gun.
