Receiver Bryant Johnson, the 17th pick of the first round, and defensive end Calvin Pace, whom the Cardinals took at No. 18, didn't participate in drills during a minicamp last month because they didn't have injury-protection waivers.
With that bit of business out of the way, they joined about 40 other players fighting for roster spots, about half of them rookies....
