All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
The teams that know what the eff their doing are playing in what's called the "playoffs games". Some of you older Bills fans may have heard of them.
Got any notion about which teams win or lose?
The biggest thing we learned from the Bills is that they are a resilient bunch and did what they had to do to win instead of past years where they fold like a cheap lawn chair.

Jets
Ravens (I don't think they will actually win though)
Eagles (I don't think they will win)
Packers

Try to guess the score of each game. If someone actually guesses one of the games correctly they win. If multiple people get any of the games right they split the pot.
Of course, winning this week won't make next week's games any fun. :)
p.s. I won't be tending this thread, so please copy & paste the teams in your reply so
The Jets (unlike the Bills) have taken the trouble to build a very solid O-line. However, they have rookie QB and zero receivers. The Bengals have a couple of decent CBs, but their front 4 is injured/bad. Bengals D gets gouged.
Patriots have lost Welker (50% of their offense). Diva Brady is hurt, and they have a crap DBs. However Falco has no receivers either. so...?
Eagles = looked like the Bills last weekend. Cowboys = Unless Romo melts down, should be smooth sailing. That doesn't mean I'll like it.

When the Jets, Broncos, and Bengals were all hot in the first few weeks and (shockingly) most of the national media slobbered all over them, I myself frankly picked the wrong horse. I thought that Denver had the most legit chance of the 3 to make the playoffs. That said, I still don't believe in either Cinci or NY and frankly the thought of these two teams together in a playoff game makes my skin crawl. I truly have no vibe either way.
Tom Brady rumors + no Welker = close game in which Baltimore pulls it out on a late FG.
The Cowboys haven't won a playoff game in how long, no matter how hot they are going into the tournament or how bad they limp in. They have to prove me wrong to bet on them.
I'm a Rodgers mark, Arizona is uber inconsistent, so I take GB.
