Found this wording on the Pete Carroll news release interesting........"They will be looking to make an immediate splash with a coaching replacement"

Splash seems to be the word of the day......

Wasn't there rumor of Thurman using similar verbage in reference to a January 15'th date? not sure if that was ever proven or disproven though.

Yeah, Thurman did use "big splash" and mentiond Jan 15th as the date. I think it has to do with ownership.

When Ralph said "We don't want to hire a coach with a splashy name." I think he was just trying to say he didn't want to hire Parcells. But that would be awful witty of the old man.
