    There were a host of records that were tied or broken by Bills players and team units this season. Here’s the rundown courtesy of team statistician Mike Haim and his staff.

    Highest punting average, season: 46.58 (old record: 45.66 in 2005)


    Team records tied
    Most interceptions in a game: 6 – Oct. 18 at NY Jets (also on four other occasions, last: at Boston 12/9/67)


    Individual records
    Most all-purpose yards in a single season: Fred Jackson 2,516 (old record: O.J. Simpson 2,243 yards, 1975)


    Longest pass completion: 98 (TD) Ryan Fitzpatrick to Terrell Owens, Nov. 22 at Jacksonville (old record: 95 (TD) Todd Collins to Quinn Early, Dec. 1, 1996 at Indianapolis)



    Most interceptions in a season by a rookie or first-year player: 9, Jairus Byrd (old record: 8, Archie Matsos, 1960)



    Most consecutive games with an interception: 5, Jairus Byrd from Oct. 11 vs. Cleveland to Nov. 15 at Tennessee (old record: 4 last by Jeff Nixon, 1979)


    Highest punting average in a season: 46.58, Brian Moorman (old record: 45.66, Brian Moorman, 2005)


    Highest net punting average in a season: 40.2, Brian Moorman (old record: 39.4, 2008)


    Most punts inside 20-yard line, career: 204, Brian Moorman 2001-2009 (old record: 190, Chris Mohr, 1991-2000)
