Who is better? In my mind I pretty much just blended them into the same person.
Meredith Vs. Scott Vs. Bell

Re: Meredith Vs. Scott Vs. Bell
Scott can be tossed on the scrap-heap...Merideth would be a decent back up option.
Bell...aside from his insane amount of false starts, was ok in his time. He is young, and is supposed to have a big upside. This leads me to ask: if we had a real NFL QB playing, wouldn't they have spent extra time working with the line to prevent the false starts? I guess a real coach makes a QB do that, but a "leader," or a "captain," like Trent was supposed to be, should have taken that upon themselves.

Re: Meredith Vs. Scott Vs. Bell
Ideally, Bell and Meredith would serve as depth for a year or two while a vet who actually deserves to start stands in front of them. Eventually, they both could work out to be decent players, they just aren't there yet. Still, quality depth - no doubt. Unless Butler comes back and proves he can play RT, I don't see a single player on the current roster ready to start at tackle at this point.

Re: Meredith Vs. Scott Vs. Bell
I think the Bills, or what's left of them, may see Bell still in the conversation at LT (since they "invested" so much in him by trading Peters, cutting Walker). They will also attempt to groom Meredith into a starting RT to take over for Butler should he falter/get injured again.
I think they'll look into a high quality acquistion at LT to either play over Bell immediately or force Bell to raise his level of consistency in order to play. (This goes along with what I outlined here: http://billszone.com/fanzone/showthread.php?t=184361)

All three of those guys will ill prepared for the role into which they were thrust. It was no surprise they struggled. I don't know that any of them could eventually be a starter in this league, but I'm not going to write them off based on their struggles in the 2009 season.I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Originally posted by TigerJI saw nothing in the thread title that suggested a link to Cowher. Just because the Bills are involved in a search for a head coach and fans seem to obsess on the subject doesn't mean every thread has to have a connection with that search.
