I would love to have Garrett as the new HC. Proven ability to groom a QB and proven ability to put together a top offense in the NFL.

I picked Garrett on 12/29, on the "Predict the New Bills' Head Coach Thread." Will I be the next Joe Logan?

He's my top coordinator choice for HC. Unfortunately I don't think he'll be leaving Dallas anytime soon.

Jerry Jones would probably block any interview with him.

NFL rules state that a team cannot block an interview, but can dictate when it would take place.

Yes, he can switch teams without permission if it is a "promotion".

I'd be impressed if the Bills hired Jason Garrett as HC... VERY IMPRESSED... ALMOST AS IMPRESSED AS IF THEY'D HIRED COWHER!!!

Highest paid assistant coach in the league and potentially next in line for the Dallas job.

Why would he leave Dallas to come to a place that coaches keep turning down?

Why would he leave Dallas to come to a place that coaches keep turning down?Looks like Wade's gonna keep the job... Jason may become a bit impatient... The standard top tier contract of 5 years $35M should take care of it.

I wouldn't pay $7 million a year for an unproven. He does have a lot of talent on that offense, has no head coaching experience and has only been a coordinator a short while.

I do like the kid, but I don't think he is worth $35 million.

Maybe 25-30 million. Maybe a little less.

Although you are right, he could possibly become impatient.

He makes about 3 mill/yr as the OC/Head Coach in waiting whenever Wade goes.
That's more then some first time head coaches make, especially first time HC's who work for Ralph.
In fact wasn't DJ getting paid about 3mill/yr and he had alot of previous HC experience.

I don't see the Bills making him an offer big enough or attractive enough to make him consider leaving Jerry's new palace to move to Buffalo to HC at the 40 yr old Ralph.

He turned down Baltimore and another team I believe a couple years ago.
He not desperate for the next HC that's available.
He's got his eye on the HC job in Dallas, that's his dream job.
I am pretty sure that he winds up with the job at some point.
I wouldn't be surprised if ol Jer has pretty much promised him he is next in line.
Life is good for Jason in Dallas, he is held in high esteem by the Jones's and the fans love him since his back-up days behind Troy.
Wade takes all the heat when the team struggles and if the offense is scoring he looks like he's doing his job.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he declines to interview.

actually I do because he complained all last year that he wanted to coach and was even made coach-in-waiting
