ALLEN PARK -- Michigan Coach Lloyd Carr felt like he was at a small alumni gathering during his visit to Lions mini-camp.
Carr had an opportunity to watch two of his former players -- offensive tackle Jeff Backus and defensive lineman James Hall -- perform Tuesday.
"They're tremendous people," said Carr, who along with his staff and Eastern Michigan's staff, was invited to the mini-camp.
"To see them to be able to play in Detroit in a new era, they're excited."
Hall and Backus have developed into starters. Hall made the team in 2000 as an undrafted free agent. Backus was a first-round draft pick in 2001....
