With the impending lockout, I'm wondering if the fact that there will be a 2010 season, 2011 will most likely be cancelled due to a lockout (or scabs will play), and then in 2012, the NFL will return full force. But the problem with 2012, that's the last year for our stadium lease in Orchard Park and it's also the last year of the Toronto experiment. So now the team would be left without a home if something isn't done soon for 2013. Could these head coaching candidates be looking at that too? I'm guessing Cowher or someone like him would want a 5 year deal, but the team doesn't even have a 5-year deal, so it would be a tough sell to the new Head Coach, unless they negotiate some kind of escape clause if the team's future isn't decided by then.

if Ralph doesn't croak or sell the team by 2012, there is no way in hell the county will pin the team without a home. They'll come up with some sort of lease agreement.

now, if Ralph croaks or sells the team by then, the Bills are as good as gone.

Unless he wills the team to his wife, like Sal alluded to. If he does that, then the Bills can stay here for the forseeable future.

Kind of convenient that the stadium lease and Toronto deal end at the same time.

it was probably intentional. Why would Rogers make a deal past 2012 with no assurance that the team will still be in Buffalo?

ralph should do us a favor and die in this estate tax free year. but knowing ralph and his love for sticking it to the area, he wont. he'll be around to see NYS grovel to come up with a weak stadium deal.

You do know that this makes absolutely no sense...if there is an impending lockout how can there be a 2010 season (which you said was a FACT)? Why would 2011 be locked out even if 2010 is? Who has ever mentioned using scabs? And if they lost two seasons due to a lockout what makes you think there would be a 2012 season and that they would be back in full force? What were you smoking?

2010 will be uncapped and then 2011 will be the lockout. Read the papers, it's pretty much a guarantee that it's going to happen. Unless the players cave to the owners.

I guessed that maybe scabs will play. I stand by the rest. The 2010 season will happen, it will just be an uncapped year. As for 2011, apparently the Owners have already talked about how the CBA expires after the 2010 season, they will most likely lock out the players. It's been all over the internet in many different spots. I read it this morning in the NY Post too.

As for 2012...that's my prediction. It will come back in full force. Unless the lockout chases fans away, but I can't see that. It's too popular.

So the current Bills roster will have a chance at the playoffs vs everyone elses scabs/scrubs?

This link should make you feel better. There's still time to avoid a lockout, but it talks about the possibility.
