KIRKLAND -- There was a time Shawn Springs never thought the day would come.
But it has. Finally, and fulfillingly.
June 13, the Seahawks' gregarious cornerback will graduate from Ohio State University -- six years after leaving the Columbus campus following his junior season after being selected in the first round of the NFL draft.
"The first time I went back to class, I was like, 'I don't know if I need to do this,' " Springs said yesterday after practice in the team's final off-season passing camp. "It's a thought I've had more than once since then."
Springs stuck it out, taking classes the past three off-seasons at the University of Washington to complete the 30 credits needed to earn his degree in sociology....
