They all really should have gone for a name guy...somebody with a proven track record and experience as a head coach. Somebody like Wade Phillips, or Norv Turner.

Don'tcha think?

honestly, i would've been disappointed if the bills would've hired turner or phillips (lol) when dick was hired....not the same level of disappointment when i read the news that jauron was hired, but turner and phillips aren't exactly "proven winners" in my mind.

and dungy has left behind another team that a coach is going to get a ring off of...is there a better job than tony dungy's successor?

The Colts coach is the greatest coach ever.

They'd be where they are with Edwards as their QB.

And Denny, Kelsay, Schobel, at end.

three of four teams are small market...the NFL must wonder how they can possibly make money off of such poor matchups (sarcasm off)

maybe they'll realize that teams that play well is what fans of football want.

Just picture Indy vs New Orleans. It would be a great Super Bowl, but it would prove Jerry Jones wrong again. Small markets can compete are what the NFL is all about.

Seems this time of year yields a lot of information on how to run a franchise. A few years back, it was that the Cover 2 was all the rage (Indy vs. Chicago). Then it was a dominant D (Giants). Now we're looking at the fact you don't need a big name coach. Trust me, I agree, but I also see the cyclical cycle of success. Point being that there is no one way to succeed in this league. The most important thing is buying into YOUR way and supporting it 100%.
