Jay Glazer just tweeted it.

Could you see Gailey bringing in Nolan?

I wouldn't mind Nolan as DC.

he is a great DC
if true bring him in

Doesn't make sense tho, he turned a terrible D into a top one in his first season

That's pretty interesting. I thought Nolan did a good job with that D. The team overall collapsed, but IMO it was a pretty impressive transition to a 3-4, especially considering how they drafted on defense: one DL (Ayers, didn't contribute all that much this year), three DB's. He transitioned that 4-3 D into a 3-4 D with very little to work with.

I didn't watch many games, but I'd have to guess some of the fault of the Denver collapse has to be on the offense.

The fins will make a strong push for him

OK, if we got Nolan I could at least stop completely writing off this team with the thoughts of Gailey as coach.

Never even thought of that that's where he will end up.

i would take him over Gailey as head coach..

If Gailey gets Nolan, then i'd be even more shocked then i am about Gailey becoming HC. The Bills don't work in smart ways. They will hire a cheapo to be D.C.

Btw, Miami is going to interview Nolan.

Clayton just said on ESPNews that Nolan to Buffalo is possible as DC if the Bills switch to a 3-4 defense.

As DC not HC. Still be nice though.

Probably one of the best options for a DC out there.

I'd rather have Mike Nolan as our new head coach, and that's saying something.

Nolan never had a winning season as a HC. Career record 18-37.

Gailey never had a losing season as a HC.

And people want Nolan over Gailey???

You should compare the level of talent Nolan's 49ers teams had to the Dallas teams Gailey had. Yep, I'd take rookie Alex Smith over Troy Aikman. Even though those Cowboys teams were old, they had legit players.

Additionally, as I've pointed out in other threads, five of Gailey's six seasons at GT ended with a 7-6 or 7-5 record, which at a place like GT in a conference such as the ACC does not cut it. If anything, his head coaching record indicates mediocrity and the fact that GT dismissed him despite his "never having a losing season" despite playing teams like Tulsa year after year lends evidence towards my point.

If it's about the players, who cares who the coach is?

DICK JAURON has done better as a HC than Mike Nolan.

Hmmm... Gailey for three years and then Nolan as an heir apparent? I'd think that would be the only way to get Nolan here... with the promise of getting the HC gig if all goes well.

Why Miami over Buffalo? Because of his connection to Parcells through Groh?
