Chan Gailey - the 9-7 Dick Jauron?

I'm just seeing this guy as Dick Jauron on the offensive side of the ball. Boring, bland, dysfunctional but a little more capable.

    I could see them being a 9-7 team....eventually.

Yup, not a glowing prediction but willing to give it a chance.

I read somewhere he is very gimmicky with the ball.

The comparisons to Jauron are horrid. I don't like this hiring either, but comparing him to Jauron is silly. He has tough practices. He calls players out. He shows emotion of the sidelines. And that's only a few differences between him and Jauron.

I'm not a fan of the hire, but if he can get Tyler Thigpen out of Miami, then we have a QB who might be something. I would be OK with that type of package.

this hiring may not bring us to the Super Bowl, but has the potential to turn us around

It may be one and done with this organization anyhow. Likely lockout in 2011, with eliminating revenue sharing (and several teams) one of the major issue.

Anyone blindly thinking long term is foolish. Enjoy them while we got them.

                He'll be the 2-14 Jauron.
