How many games does he have to win in 2010 to make you say, "Alright, I guess I can live with this." I ask because I know every committed Bills fan will give him at least a year before they dismiss him... as we did for Dick, and Mularkey, and Williams, and Wade...

9-7 next season. Steadily better following that.

If Rex Ryan can get it done with Mark Sanchez (An inconsistent rookie) then a man with as much experience and contacts as Gailey should be able to produce nine wins.

I agree with this assessment.

It all depends on the coordinators. I'll keep saying that. Nolan would be fantastic. I really want to switch to a 3-4 and he is a great guy to help transition us.

Pointless question. He's not going to win here. he's a career loser.

Hey! Where's the 8 or less option? Honestly, with this roster and our QB situation, it would take a minor miracle for even the most successful of coaches to get this team to 8 wins.

If you need 9 wins to like the guy, be prepared to hate him.

This team, talent wise, doesn't have enough to win 9 games regardless of who the head coach is.

Especially if we change the defensive scheme, expect it to be ugly.

Yep, nine wins seems like a stretch to me as well.

Please back up that statement with his career records.

Between 6-8 wins next year, regardless of who is hired. The roster doesn't lie.

Then probably no NFL football in 2011.

Never had a season below .500 is what I've heard. Haven't looked it up yet.

Nevermind, I guess he has one losing season in 11 tries.

So, he is not a career loser. He is just not exciting.

I had it n but I nixed it at the last second... I figured the way things are around here right now 8 wins would lead to a burning at the stake.

So would you be content next year with 7 or 8 wins? Would you consider it a "moral victory" to get that far and consider the season a step in the right direction?

He's not necessarily a loser. However, he is career mediocrity. Five of his six seasons at GT ended with either 7-6 seasons or 7-5 seasons. Seven wins at a college program like GT is not considered a success. In fact, it's what got him fired.

His Dallas teams were loaded, albeit old and in transition. He did make the playoffs twice, but once with an 8-8 record.

So, when people harp on his "career winner" record, keep in mind that that same "career winner" record was a string of 7-6 and 7-5 seasons which ultimately lead to his dismissal.

If he brings in Mike Nolan, call me a believer even before the first game. He will need to make a few calls to get some solid guys on the offensive side of the ball but i like Mike Nolan a lot, especially as DC.

If we blow up the scheme I'd be surprised with 5 wins to be honest.

He's no Cowher, but he's also no Jauron, as some blindly and ignorantly spew.

8-8, I am not too picky.

9-7 record would be good enough for me. This roster will be overhauled.
