My Chan Gailey article on NFL.com

The Buffalo News is reporting today that Chan Gailey may become the next head coach of the Buffalo Bills sometime this week.

Gailey, who most recently was with the Kansas City Chiefs as their offensive coordinator in 2008, has the experience that GM Buddy Nix is looking for in a head coach.

I am going to post two positives about this guy, even though I am not happy.

    1. He is the anti Jauron as according to Thurman's tweet

    2. Vince Lombardi and Pete Carroll were Green Bays and USCs third choice to become their coach, it worked out great for both of them. Hopefully Gailey being our third guy has half that success. (Brian Schotty, Jim Harbough).

Lastly before we cast judgment on this lets see the staff he assembles, lets see if they have actual experience unlike Dicks staff who was filled with first time coordinators etc... I also want to see what kind of defense he is going to run, I imagine a 43 but what kind of 43.

Chan Gailey has been a winner, as HC, coordinator or assistant, almost everywhere he's been. He's won with John Elway and Jay Feeley. He has changed systems to accommodate his talent.

Looks like a good pick to me.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I'm not very impressed with his Head Coaching record....

Can this guy actually attract top Coordinator Talent away from other teams, or does he bring in scrubs on th eoutside still hoping ot land a job ?

This choice does nothing for me at this point, and I must add that I'm not looking forward to the 2010 season.... Cant wait to see all the top FA's lining up to play for the Bills....

Check out Levy's head coaching record, or Billicheck before their last stint.
