He pretty much said all of the rumors about us not being able to land an HC were crap. He said they had people calling to get interviewed. Nix said he could have hired 30 (or around there) the first week.

Reiterated that it is an NFL head coaching job. Said that regardless of how bad a team is, there will always be calls. Then said "Even Oakland gets calls."

When you sit down to negotiate an agreement to take a high level leadership job you have a plan and vision and you make sure your new employer is on the same page as to what you're going to do. You do this because you are smart enough to make sure you are being put in a position to be successful instead of a position to fail. Also, part of the interview process is selling your plan and your vision. Don't try and sell me this adaptation crap. The fact is there is zero vision and zero plan right now and they are going to try and make it up as they go along. Gailey fits in well with what OBD does. Nothing has changed.

I don't think he sound mad, I think he sounded eager to get back to football, almost emotional about it.

Think about it, this is Chan's "big break". he didn't really get a fair go at it in Dallas. Two years, two playoff appearances and he was fired.

I think he thinks this is it for him and he is excited about it.

He is 58 and on the back nine of his coaching career. I see him being eager to get started and trying to back up his words.
