So a good friend of mine called...

so a good friend of mine, a dolphins fan called me today... and all i heard on the other end of the line was

    "AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

    then a pause

    then

    "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

then some laughing and some inaudible mumbling, while he caught his breath then...

"Chan Gailey? CHAN GAILEY?! What did bills fans do to deserve Chan Gailey?!? Piss in Ralph's Metamucil? Oh man... (followed by some more laughing) ... 4th place again in 2010 then? That must suck. How long you guys been rebuilding? When was it Butler put you in cap hell? 10 years now? 10 years of rebuilding? (more laughing).

-Welcome to the new decade Bills fans. I just pray this hire doesn't cost Buffalo it's team.

we are the oakland raiders, i hate it and wish we were relivent but there it is.

My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.

    MY WIFE SAID THAT!!!

Good grief, should we set up a Billszone suicide hotline?

EVERYBODY wanted Jauron gone, you got your wish. Granted, Chan isn't a splashy hire but his credentials are better than anybody we've had since Levy (and Levy didn't exactly thrill people when he was first hired).

Weren't the Dolphins 11-5 both years that Gailey was their OC?
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Dolphins fans universally hated him and he was subsequently let go. I've heard varying accounts that they felt he held them back.

i think we as fans have the right to be pissed until the new staff proves us otherwise.

Sounds eerily familiar to "if you get him some playing time he'll turn into Montana" to me.

It's one thing to be disappointed, it's another to be borderline irrational like some of the folks have been today.

Yeah, yeah, I know we didn't get Cowher or Shanahan. It sucks. Deal with it. They are hardly the only two coaches that can turn this team around.

I hope he holds us back to 11-5.

i'm not looking for chan gailey to be able to expand his facebook friends by 53 guys...

i just want a coach that's smart enough to know his systems and when to play to its strengths and ballsy enough to know when to say, "let's go for the win...my guys are up for the challenge."

At first glance, i don't think we have that guy.

The Bills have been at the very bottom of the league in offense for so long, I don't even remember the words to the Bills shout song...

I'd take 3rd or 12th in the league any day.

Then you need to look again. The one thing that he is recognized for is figuring out how to play to his team's strengths. His past history backs that up and it's further backed up by quotes from Cowher and Reeves.
