People will debate the merits of Clausen long after he shakes the commissioner's hand, but he has continued to improve, showed toughness, has an NFL arm and perhaps most importantly, has experience under center in a pro-style offense. That was a key for Matthew Stafford and Mark Sanchez and is a huge consideration for scouts.

I know it will make a lot of people sick, but with both Gailey and Nix...I'm starting to think we will draft Tebow in the second round.

Not a fan of Clausen at this point myself. This guy was supposed to be All World coming out of high school. He was supposed to be the best QB prospect since John Elway. I don't think he's lived up to that.

I really like that pick. Clausen has been well coached and has the arm and demeanor to go with it.

with our past.... we have to be looking for a QB every year now in the first 3 rounds till we find our guy, no stop gap washed up vet, and no bum form this roster is worth a damn, its time to get lucky as they say in the draft and take our guy, and then take another 1 next yr and the yr after somewhere between rd 1 and rd 3

its sounds stupid but is it? we have been horrible for 10 yrs no QB for 15 come on Claussen at 9 i would be happy as a pig in ****
