    Gailey noncommittal on QBs

Gailey’s first priority with Bills is finding QB

By JOHN WAWROW, AP Sports Writer

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP)—In taking over as the Buffalo Bills new head coach, Chan Gailey’s first challenge is addressing a lingering problem: Identifying a starting quarterback.

Vowing to conduct a thorough evaluation, Gailey provided a noncommittal response by saying it’s too early to make a decision. But he made clear that it’s a discussion he’s already begun with general manager Buddy Nix.

“It’s unfair for me to sit here and say what’s going to happen,” Gailey said, shortly after being hired on Tuesday. “I would be talking off the cuff, and that’s the quickest way to get in trouble.”

i think this means the bills will draft a qb and also bring in a fa qb... edwards is done... fitz and brohm are back-ups at best...

With the 9th pick in the 2010 draft, the Buffalo Bills select Jimmy Clausen, Quarterback, Notre Dame.

These are the words we will hear on draft day.

i think if bradford and clausen are not on the board we will go qb in rd 2 but i could see us trading back... we need as many picks as possible since we are rebuilding...

i promise trent edwards is the starting QB next season. ryan fitzpatrick is not on the team and jevan snead and brian brohm battle it out for #2.....sounds like a recipe for 3-13

                      Speaking of Tebow...

The general consensus is that he won't make it in the NFL, basically because he is an option/spread type quarterback, and that kind of offense has limited success in the NFL.

However, Chan Gailey got the best out of Tyler Thigpen by throwing the standard NFL playbook out the window, and going with exactly that offense at KC, and while overall KC sucked the offense wasn't really the reason behind that.

So my question is: Is Chan Gailey the one coach in the NFL who could actually make Tebow work as an NFL QB?

I rather see Gailey spend his time on Brohm who looked good in college and address other needs at QB. Brohm is going into his third year so if he spends his offseason dedicated to getting better we may not need to draft a QB early.

I'm just throwing it out as a hypothetical question.

Not "Is Tebow the best fit for the Bills?" but "Is Gailey the best fit for Tebow?"

                            Chan Gailey is wrong.

Tim Graham's source says the starter is going to be Edwards.

When Tim Graham's sources speak, Chuck Norris drops everything and listens.
