    Griese talks turn irate

Negotiations between the Dolphins and quarterback Brian Griese reached the frustration stage Wednesday for agent Ralph Cindrich, who indicated the chance of Griese signing with another team is growing stronger by the day.

'I've had teams call me and say, `This thing should be done, what's going on?' '' Cindrich said Wednesday night. ``I tell [other teams] what the deal is, and they don't understand. Then they say, `Hey, can we get in this legitimately, you're not going to use us as a bargaining chip?'

``Hey, you know me, if another team comes in and gives us what we're looking for, I'll take it and move on.''

Good...due to their money situation I'm betting the 'Fins want this guy on a 1-year vet minimum with incentives...knowing his ego, Griese probably wants a significant deal. I say bring him here and have him back up Drew. We've got cap space and we have future space whereas the 'Fins don't. He can continue to hone his skills and then replace Drew in say 3 years. No need to waste a draft choice and 3 years teaching a QB the ropes.

For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.
