Dolphin fan here (thoughts on the Chan Gailey hire)

I am not just saying this to be nice, but the hire of Chan Gailey is a HUGE improvement over Dick Jauron. His teams are always disciplined and well coached. Now dont get me wrong, I did take a huge sigh of relief when I heard you guys hired Gailey and not Cowher or Gruden.

Gailey absolutley has an uphill battle to climb especially since the Jets and Dolphins are gonna be very competitive next season (and the Patriots will still have Brady and the hooded douche) so the AFC East will be one hell of a gauntlet for the next couple of seasons.

All and all, I would say it was a good hire (better than decent) by Ralph Wilson.

I don't think so, he's been around the zone for quite awhile.

ok cool, but just think how ecstatic we would be if we had parcells running the show?

I wouldn't claim the Dols will be that good next year. Henne started-off well, but after teams got game film on him, he started to tank. Add in the age on that team and it's not going to be pretty, with Parcells probably walking away at the end of the season. As for the Jets, they'll need to duplicate this magical season. And the Patriots are on the decline. This will probably end-up being their last playoff season for awhile.

As for the Bills, they are probably at least a year away. But a good draft could change that.

Because the Dolphins 7-9 season is something to aspire to? How about not making the playoffs? Forget Parcells.

the dolphins are in great shape they already have people to build around

their oline is great, they have ginn and bess and hartline at wr not great but solid. they already have their future qb who has a rocket arm. they have a 28 year old rb back who is one of the best. their corners are set. they have a legitimate pass rusher in cameron wake. 2 dlineman to build around in langford and merling... with a good draft the dolphins will make the playoffs..

Absolutely it is! Gailey is a SOLID coach. I mean, he aint Cowher but this is definitely a good hire for you guys. I know its not a sexy pick that will create tons of buzz in Buffalo BUT I dont think thats what the Bills need right now. Pretty much, just lay low and be a sleeper team next season.

It should be interesting to see who the Bills draft in the 1st round. I know I'll definitely be keeping my eye on that come draft day. Do you guys have an idea at all?
