Did Dean Pees already agree to be our DC?

    Interesting

So why are the Broncos suddenly in line to hire Wink Martindale's kid brother to run the defense in Denver?

Where else is a position available? Are there any other DC positions open?

EDIT: Forgot Chicago. Buffalo seems to be a likely destination, though, if that "source" is correct.

Is the Broncos job still open? He could go to Buffalo or Denver. I've been hearing Buffalo is the likely choice, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I read Denver is going with someone else (forgot name), so I think it's a great chance we'll get him which would be a great signing.

Denver is promoting their LB coach to be DC. Through process of elimination, it has to either be the Bills or the Bears. I think the Bills would have to be the prohibitive favorite there since Lovie Smith runs a 4-3 tampa 2 and there's no way he'd switch his defense right before a year that he needs to win 9 games to save his job.

I'm hoping it's Buffalo. Out of the many choices, I like the idea of Dean Pees the most. At least he's run a 3-4 and knows the Patriots. Plus I'm sure he'd love to beat his old team.

I wouldn't necessarily agree to the 3-4 switch this year, but I'd love to see him prove my fears wrong.

He's probably a good coordinator to do one of those hybrid defenses (4-3 going into a 3-4.) I think he's worked with both those defenses in New England.

That actually sounds good to me, because I think we're one year away from being able to transition smoothly to a 3-4. I'd personally like to move towards a heavy 4-3 in 2010, a la Giants, then transition to a 3-4 in 2011 (if that's what they're looking to do).

sounds like a good hire, if true.
