  • How about a couple of Pirates?

Depth behind Stroud and Williams was shown to be issue this season gone. Spencer Johnson was ok, but McCargo was the invisible man he has been almost since he was draft.

Considering the Giants won the SuperBowl recently with a couple of unheralded DTs in Robbins and Cofield, it might not be a bad idea to see what DTs would be around in the middle of the draft.

The East Carolina Pirates had an excellent run defence over the last season and this is in no small part to their DTs both of whom are predicted currently to be available in the middle rounds:

    Jay Ross, 6ft3, 314lbs, 5.14

    Linval Joseph, 6ft6, 322lbs, 5.27

As a DT pair they have proven very difficult to run on. More so, Ross has the potential to be a 3-4 NT, and Joseph a 3-4 DE so the team could easily run the hybrid defence.

If the Bills trade Lynch and end up with a pair of 4th round picks I would certainly like to see the Bills capture a pair of Pirates.

I think if you pair them together, you've got the interior sorted for a few years.

If a new DC could actually turn the lights on for Ellis and Maybin a DL of

      Ellis-Ross-Joseph-Maybin

      would look nice
