New series we've started by Matt (Aka DraftBoy), profiling dozens of prospects over the next few months.
Positives:
Suh does what we haven’t seen a defensive tackle do since Tommie Harris or Warren Sapp were in college. He completely takes over football games and has the ability to dictate how the opposing offense is going to operate based almost solely about how he looks early in the game.
His combination of explosiveness and strength are unparalleled in this class among his tackle peers. He has the power to completely bull rush a 320-pound guard and knock him down backwards while at the same time he can take on two blockers and hold up at the point of attack.
Then you have his first step off the ball, where if he times it right can lead to completely shooting the gap and blowing up plays in the backfield before they even start. He’s the only defensive tackle prospect I’ve ever scouted who can completely change a game all by himself. His ability to play the one, three, and five techniques is unheard of today and he could even move outside in a 3-4 alignment and work as a defensive end.
