This is the last mock before I release a new 3 Rounder next week with full explanations. Part of it is also because Im waiting on a new DC to be named so I can know if we are changing schemes or not.

A few changes in this one both up top and at the bottom. I already know the **** fit is coming so here we go...enjoy!

McClain is a solid pick. Probably a can't miss prospect but I don't see it happening. This team has had 3 main issues the past few years.

1) QB

2) OL

3) Pass rush

I expect one of those three to be addressed with the first pick because they are the positions that get ravaged the most early in the draft.

With Bradford and Campbell gone I would pick McClain also.

I don't know how anybody could have watched the play out of our linebackers the past few years and not see that we need an infusion of talent there.

We've got enough holes to fill that we can afford to get a badass linebacker at 9 and still have plenty of *****ing to do in the next 6 rounds.

No OT is worth it at that point, as I dont have Davis ranked as high as others.

Clausen barely even grades 1st Round and I think you could see him take a Quinn like fall on draft day if his workouts aren't out of the park spectacular

Really a big time lack of 4-3 DE's at this point. If we switch to the 3-4 the pick could become Jerry Hughes very easily.

I can't see Seattle passing on a QB having passed on Sanchez last year.

I also think Oakland would dump Russell and go with Clausen if they can

With Duane Brown and Eric Winston would the Texans go OT?

I see Seattle drafting a QB and then going for a OT with their second pick

Don't for a second think that the Raiders will do the smart/logical/correct thing when it comes to the draft. They removed all doubt last draft.

Seattle has a guy who could be a good starter for three years, not a huge need and Carrol isn't one to just blow up the whole team. I think he sticks with Hasselback.

Al Davis won't take Clausen, he doesn't like players from Notre Dame.

Houston failed to even generate a sniff of a running game having no back go over even 500 yards for the year. The whole OL needs help.

1) I don't agree with Denver taking Haden because they gave a 1st round pick to Seattle last draft in order to select Alphonso Smith.

2) I think 14 is way too high for Dwyer.

3) Houston selecting Trent Williams would mean they are giving up on 2 high picks in Brown and Winston and I think they like those 2 guys. They need interior run blockers so Iupati might be the better choice.

4) I think Lafell goes higher in the draft -- his stock will go up after combine and pro-day. He reminds me of Anquan Boldin.

5) I don't think Bowman goes in the first round.

6) I think Dunlap goes higher than 24. In fact, I see a team like the Giants grabbing him and sticking him in between Tuck and Osi on passing downs and as a run defender on the edge on running downs.

7) I think Clausen hoes higher. If he is there when Seattle picks then they will have their card up in 5 seconds after just having taken their franchise LT.

A lot of mocks have Buffalo picking Anthony Davis. I don't particularly like that pick because I think he's more of a sure thing at right tackle. I'd be OK with McClain.

Jimmy Clausen.

Average to slightly above average QBs typically have a greater impact than linebackers do, unless you're talking about Ray Lewis, but even so, you must take a QB if you think he can be a franchise guy.

COMPLETELY agree. LB is a huge need at this point. McClain would be an excellent pick if Bradford and the top 3 OT's are off the board.

Definitely like that pick, considering how DB has the first round going.

Great job. Thanks for doing all these, provides some interesting reading and commentary this time of year.

I really love McClain and think, if drafted, he could easily be the best defender on the Bills next season.

Personally, I would also think long and hard about selecting Anthony Davis at 9. I think he will be an excellent pro, though maybe not out-of-the-box.

I also see one of the two QBs taking a free fall.

I will be pissed too, but if we trade back in to get Clausen, I doubt I will have to kick a baby. I could probably live with that IF we get McClain at #9.

But knowing OBD, we'll trade next year's first and this years's 2nd for the #32 pick and then draft some Div 3 QB...

I have concerns about drafting McClain.

Historically MLBs rarely go that high and I am not sure he is so much better than Spiller or Sean Lee.

Even if we stick with Poz this year at MLB we can look at Alex Wucjiak from the MLB factory of Maryland next year.

This roster won't be turned around in a year.

Spiller is the most dynamic playmaker of all the offensive players so I think that comparison is valid, but not much better than Lee? Lee who is coming off major injuries is slower, and less athletic, and is a far smaller hitter. The only thing he may have better than McClain is a very slight edge in technique. Other than that I dont see how they are even close.

I think the best option for our first round pick is McClain. We have a huge need for lb's and he is one of the best I've seen in years. Defense may be the main focus of this draft with the 3-4 being a promising switch. Our offensive line does need an lt, but I think that could be something addressed a little later on.

i don't have any concerns, other than K or P, what position a player plays. Draftboy and i got into this discussion last year regarding a C being drafted in the 1st round. (Alex Mack talk) if the guy can be a starter on Day 1, then i'm all for getting that guy in here. if the Bills go 3-4 defense and McClain will be a Day 1 starter, by all means, get him in here.

Outside of qb, if they can't find a player at #9 who can come in and play immediately on this team then they still have problems.
That is Donahoe, Levy, Jauron territory.
