Rookie Year Stats

Ricky=12 gp, 12 gs, 253 carries, 884 yds, 3.5 ypc, 25L, 2 td's, 28 rec, 172 yds, 6.1 avg

Henry=13 gp, 12 gs, 213 carries, 729 yds, 3.4 ypc, 25L, 4 td's, 22 rec, 179 yds, 8.1 avg

Williams had the much better Offense, yet Henry was equal to him running. And was a better receiver.:badboy:

interesting comparison. I like the way that looks :)

It's too early to tell how the two will compare. But travis' stats don't impres me as much as the way he ran. He was a pretty mature runner for a rookie, not afraid to take a hot either. I can't wait to see him with the new line

I like his spinning abilities. He can get a yard or 2 after the hit, and that was the impression I was left from last season.

With our beefed up line, he could be a Pro Bowl back.

i don't know ricky's 2nd year numbers but i'm predicting that travis will get 1200+yards rushing and 400+yards receiving.a little more involvement with the passing game is needed to make him a more dangerous RB.

At least Travis Henry won't be found in a dress.

Comparing Ricky Williams to Travis Henry is like apples and oranges.

Ricky Williams was expected to do great in his first year. He has not lived up to his expectations.

Travis Henry was a quiet pick up, if I remember correctly, and (IMO) surprised a lot of naysayers. He will have a great season, and/or career.

Travis Henry: A bowling ball with spikes.

Ricky 'Wedding Dress' Williams: A pansy in high heels.

I totally agree Shadow!

I cannot wait to see him run behind big Mike!

Great stat comparison! Hopefully the trend will not continue. Ricky only played in 10 games the following season becasue of a nagging injury.

What, someone says this and no one challenges it?

I think Henry could have easily have had 1,800-2,000 yards rushing this season if Gilbride had used him in some of the games. But to say that Williams had a better O in his rookie year is ludicrous!

Their QB was a combo of Tolliver, Delhomme, Wuerffel, and Hobert!

Their WRs were Andre Hastings, Eddie Kennison, and Keith Poole. Their TE was rookie Cam Cleeland.

The offense the Bills had was at least better. The Saints were also 3-13 but w/o the talent. We had Moulds, Price, JR, Centers. Our QBs were no worse than those clowns.

Williams didn't have much in his time at N.O. until Joe Horn got there and Brooks began starting. Then Williams had 60 grabs for over 500 yards.

I'd rather have Henry too, but to base than on their rookie years doesn't make sense.

If properly used, and if the Bills don't try to loft the ball much more than 550 times this year vice the over 650 this past season, I expect Henry to near 2,000 yards and have near 20 TDs. I'm highly skeptical however w/ Gilbride as our O.C.

We'll see...

I'm surprised no one at fin heaven brought up fumbles. I agree with Wys Guy that some tactical errors actually cut down on Henry's potential productivity. Frankly though, I'm not thinking too much about last year now. I like Henry. I'm hopeful that the fumbling ishistory as a critical issue, and I think Gilbride will make increased use of Henry, as advertised.
