What he's saying is similar to what I think. Obviously, if McNabb is available, that would be my first choice. But other than that, options are limited. Get Troy in here to compete w/others for the job!

"Troy is a proven winner and leader!" Whitner said later. "Troy can come in and compete with the guys we have and the BEST man will win the job!"

Whitner should concentrate on his own play. Not surprising he wants one of his buddies from his college days on the team though.

Which isn't saying much. He has been a total bust. Other safeties are taken well after him in the draft and do more in a season than he has done in his career.

i think we should get smith.. then trade for mcnabb.. then draft bradford in the 1st, pike in the 2nd, tebow in the 3rd, and mccoy in the 4th.

then let them compete with brohm and edwards..
