According to a very respectable source who I go way back with. Stan Hixon is the Bills' new wide receivers coach.

This is unconfirmed, but I will try and find more information.

Former Washington Redskin's WR coach.

Interesting. He coached at GT 95-99, and was Josh Reed's coach at LSU...

He did alright with Devin Thomas last year and Fred Davis, if he had any control of that

Fred Davis is a tight end. Wide receivers coaches don't have control over tight ends.

This is a solid source guys, he knows his stuff. I truly believe and stand by that Hixon is now the Bills' wide receiver coach.

I hope we get it confirmed tomorrow. I am not having a good time with coaching rumors...

well Coles and Moss were good w/ him....if he had any connection to the development of the TEs that's a plus and Thomas and Kelly both took a step forward this year; but brandon lloyd and randel el were busts under him

seems like a teacher and definitely did an EXCELLENT job at LSU...maybe a sign we keep Reed; but he should be able to help develop our young WRs

Alot of times the TE coach is usually also the WR coach, or the OL coach is usually also the TE coach

Lots of TEs work with both the receivers coaches and the line coaches as they play a hybrid position.

Looks like a good pickup. It appears you have to have coached for Georgia Tech to get a job with the Bills.

the real fact is, Chan is going to hire people he trusts and has a working experience with whom is available.

So it was almost a given that we were going to see exactly this once we hired "the Chan"

Why do you say this? Have you followed his career closely or done extensive research? Please share your knowledge with us.

He has to be an improvement on Tyke Tolbert if nothing else.

I apologize to Jan Reimers for accidentally deleting a post during testing. Here is what it said. Sorry Jan!

Quote from a Washington newspaper:

Kelli Johnson has learned that former Redskins receiver coach Stan Hixon had landed a job with the Bills to coach their wide receivers. Former Redskins offensive assistant Chris Meidt is still looking for a job.

Here are some updates as of an hour ago.

My source on Hixon told me straight up that Hixon is headed to Buffalo. He told me he doesn't know why it wasn't announced with the Special Teams coach but told me he is 100%, without a doubt positive Hixon is the Buffalo Bills new wide receiver coach.

I happen to believe him.

Good job guys.
An observation.
Gailey has been hiring guys he knows well to work with him on Offense.
He has been hiring 'other' guys, to work on Defence, (and Special teams) including hanging on to the two people who obviously did a good job for the bills last year.
Seems to me there is much less in the way of 'cronyism' occurring than has been talked about.
