All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

I don't see a solution between the owners and the players coming anytime soon. No one wins in a lockout. Not the owners, not the players, and certainly not the fans. (unless you are a Bills fan, then you dont have to pay for season's!)
those are ridiculous numbers. If you had to pay everyone of those positions the top figure, you'd be in for $95MM. You don't even have enough for a full 22 players on both sides of the ball with those types of numbers. The cap is currently $130MM right? so having the top player in eaech of those positions costs you 73% of the cap for 20% of the roster.

Ouch.
I could be wrong but I think one of the reason's those numbers are so high is because the players association is trying to limit the number of players that aren't given the opportunity to enter FA. If the numbers are so high, team's may be reluctant to pay that much for them.
I think the NFL should use some of MLBs tricks when it comes to labor. More specifically draft pick compensation for signing a "type A" FA or whatnot... The current NFL system of draft pick compensation is ****ing ******ed IMO.
And once again, the league hooks up the Pats. Wilfork is just as good or better than Haynesworth yet will cost almost 3 million less to keep by using a tag.
I know its probably an equation of the top salaries, its just amazing how lucky they are.

Its because the Pats have been drafting gurus and took Wilfork. The Skins signed Haynesworth via free agency, and paid the premium. Luck aint got nothing to do with it.
