WalterFootball has just started putting up lists of Free Agents starting with QB and RB.

As you can see, the majority of candidates now seem to be RFAs so those hoping to build through Free Agency are going to have a shock.

However it could be a blessing in disguise as we've had our fingers if not entire hands burnt in Free Agency so maybe Nix should just focus on the draft which is probably the more successful route to building a franchise

It'll still be weeks before many people realise that half of their off-season 'plans' that include FAs, aren't going to happen, as the FAs they like, are RFAs, who will be tendered.
Another aspect of this, is that there are going to be a lot of players who are mightily pissed that they missed out. The 'luckier' ones, will be those who get tagged, as they will at least earn around what they might have got.
One development you may see, are more deals done that actually involve player 'exchanges', and there might be some quite creative dealing done there, in respect of maybe 3 team deals.

According to ESPN:

If a labor agreemment is not reached by March 5th, then we will have an uncapped season. This means:

How would an uncapped year affect franchise and transition tags?

Teams could further limit free agency because, in an uncapped season, they may place an extra transition tag on a player. Normally, a team can place one franchise tag or one transition tag on a player each offseason. In an uncapped year, they can place franchise and transition tags or two transition tags on players.
