    Jeff Garcia > Mike Vick

If we're gonna go sign an old, past his prime QB, it should be Jeff Garcia, not Mike Vick.

    Better passer? Garcia

    Better person? Garcia

    Better leader? Garcia

    Football knowledge/reading defenses? Garcia

    History of winning? Garcia

If we go for a QB not on the roster or in the draft I'd take Garcia over anybody you clowns have mentioned.

    No Vick
    No Smith
    No Orton
    No Boller
    No Carr

Garcia is the way to go, if we go that route.

Personally I'd prefer to bolster the lines and give our current QB's a shot. Its a lot more common for a 2nd or 3rd year guy to find his stride and do well than it is for some ex-con has been to rejuvinate his career after years of doing nothing.

He's too old imo. They'd just as soon sign Vinny Testaverde.

One of these QB's is 2 seasons removed from a playoff run...

I'll give you a hint, his name isn't Vick.

          Garcia is like 37 though.

His style of play won't put his body in danger 10-15 times a game.

I'm telling you, next season whoever makes the mistake of paying Vick is going to be paying him to sit on IR by mid season.

Vick is a running back. When running backs hit 30, they drop off like american car companies.

Look at Tomlinson. I know he's purely a running back, but he hit 30 and all of a sudden its this injury, its that injury. And if you don't think Tomlinson is the superior football player, I don't respect your opinion anymore. The only way Vick can win is with his legs. He hasn't done it in years. He's going to go out, resume that old, wreckless, non-winning style of QBing and get himself injured.

He's missed a THIRD of his career due to either injury or crime. And I certainly don't consider him anything less than extremely risky from the crime department. He will get arrested again, its just a matter of when. The dude is a piece of ****.

This comparison to a running back is just way off base. He didn't carry the ball 25-30 times a game taking constant shots ever in his career. He scrambled and had the slide down or run out of bounds option each time.

Does he have the arm to play in Buffalo at his age? Maybe.

I certainly would not be opposed to Garcia, Vick, Orton or Carr. They all represent an upgrade.

I wouldn't be real happy with either Michael Vick or Garcia.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

No its not. He missed a season due to injury.

He repeatedly lead the league in sacks.

If he averages 5ypc and runs for 1000 yards, that means he ran it 200 times

So if you say he slides or runs out of bounds a lot (he doesn't) I'll give you half.

So that means 100 tackles on runs and 50 tackles on sacks.

                      150 tackles per year.

Compare that to Brett Favre this year, the iron man of the NFL, had 7 rushing yards. The guy doesn't take sacks, and he doesn't put himself in line for excessive punishment.

The comparison to a RB is directly on base. He's only made highlights with his legs. Period. The dude is a wildcat QB. Period. Not an answer. At all.

For the record, I don't want any of them. I want to at least give our guys one more season to show what they can do if you bolster the team up around them.

We had no line last year. Receivers were questionable. All of our tight ends kept getting injurred. Lynch played terrible. Fred was the lone star of the offense.

Let's see if Brohm or Edwards can do something with a legit squad around them. Getting a new QB this season takes away, no matter how you slice it, from bolstering other areas. We need to draft power players and run the football and do play action passes. Our QB's all could be solid system QB's.

Garcia is 40 in a couple of weeks, this isn't Bret Favre we are talking about, no thanks to a 40 QB not named Favre.
