Done as in trade options... Or free agent/released?

Would rather have Porter. Porter is a proven pass rusher, Thomas is not. Who cares if Porter runs his mouth. He's a very good football player and his teammates like him.

Thomas is likely going to be released. He clashed with Belichick during the year.

I'm sure that new DC of ours would love to have a LB like that guy.

Didn't he miss practice because of snow?

That will go well in Buffalo.

He showed up 10 minutes late or something.

Wouldn't Adalius rather head to the Jets or back to the Ravens?

With us going to the 3-4, this would be a great addition. Maybin on one side and Thomas on the other side would be a good start.

once the story gets out, the trade option is gone. Any team that wants him will just wait for him to get cut then sign him as a FA rather than give up picks or players in a trade.

If we're going to a 3-4 then, definitely Yes!

The guy is sooooooooo overrated.

He benefited in Baltimore with Lewis, Suggs, and Ngata.

He was alright during his time in New England. Nothing spectacular at all.

Give me Demco Ryans over him.

Demco ryans is an ILB Thomas is an OLB totally different. The bills have no depth and Thomas would be a good fit. If schobel comes back the transition is going to be tough for him.

The guy is overrated. He is another Mitchell. Drop Mitchell, pick up Ryans, and draft McClain.

His game has really plunged since he left the Ravens.

Some guys get the big $$ and go into cruise control. Speaks volumes.

Thomas > Ellison.

The guy is overrated. If I played along side Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs, and Ngata, I'd have a pro-bowl year too. He is not a great linebacker what-so-ever. Money should be spent elsewhere. Haven't we learned yet by picking up the Pats leftovers?

I posted this in another thread, but it is relevant here as well:

Thomas is a very talented player, but he is a locker-room lawyer who turns 33 this year, and I don't think he is a good fit on a younger team (and the Pats are younger on defense). When the Pats had strong veteran leaders like Vrabel, Harrison, Seymour and Bruschi he could be kept in line. If he lands on that kind of team he could play well again, but without that strong leadership he is guy with his own agenda and a a divisive force.
